Forum Guidelines
By engaging in this forum you are agreeing that you read and understood the forum guidelines. 
Ignorance is not an excuse for violation of these guidelines.

 

1. Do not post new topics. If you do, they will be deleted. Only post in existing topics that were created by an admin. You are, however, welcome to suggest ideas by contacting an officer.

 

2. No "flaming" or "badgering" -- writing hostile or insulting messages aimed at other users for their views, comments, status as a user on the site, or any other reason. You can disagree with someone's views and still be polite about it.

 

3. No "trolling" -- posting controversial (sometimes off-topic) messages with the intent of baiting other users to reply.

 

4. No "spamming" -- no advertisements, or referral links to other services. We also classify "spam" as short replies (usually fewer than 7 words) which do not contribute to a forum thread in a positive manner.

 

5. Remain respectful of other members at all times. All posts should be professional and courteous. You have every right to disagree with your fellow community members and explain your perspective. However, you are not free to attack, degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle them or the quality of this community. It does not matter what title or power you hold in these forums, you are expected to obey this rule.

 

6. Certain behaviors are absolutely unacceptable, including sexual misconduct, harassment, and accosting fellow members. They will not be tolerated within the NSA community. Any disregard for this rule will result in being banned without notice.

 

Examples of Misconduct:

     •  Making sexual comments about appearance, clothing, or body parts

     •  Sharing sexually inappropriate images or videos, such as pornography

     •  Telling lewd jokes, or sharing sexual anecdotes

     •  Asking sexual questions, such as questions about someone's sexual history or their sexual orientation

     •  Making offensive comments about someone's sexual orientation or gender identity

     •  Encouraging involvement in sexually explicit or suggestive acts

     •  Participating in any act of sexual behavior

     •  Making sexual innuendos, implied or explicit 

 

We ask for your cooperation to help us keep NSA a safe place for us all; if you encounter a situation that involves sexual harassment and/or misconduct, please do not ignore it - immediate action is imperative. If a member displays such behaviour, please help us by reporting them right away to a NSA officer.

 

7. It is our intent to protect the real-world identity and privacy of those who wish to maintain online anonymity. 

 

8. Freedom of Speech: We resist censorship in favor of free speech. Within our forums, we support the broadest range of perspectives and expression, for it is the unification of diversity to cause that gives strength to our community. We are committed to equal opportunity. Influence and responsibility here are inseparable, and both spring solely from a demonstrated commitment to furthering the topics discussed in our forums. Bear in mind, however, that some language and conduct is still considered inappropriate. 

 

9. Responsible Behavior: Your attendance here carries a responsibility. Ours is a mission of mind and perspective, and consequently, attention is our most precious resource. Do not waste what attention you may attract, nor seek to attract it with wasteful actions. Remember that personal worldview is a most powerful motivator; never treat another's lightly. 

 

10. Breaching of privacy: Solicitation of names and addresses or other personal information for commercial purposes or, in the case of minors, for any purpose. Revealing personal information, including e-mail addresses, about other members that would identify them in the real world and which they have not otherwise made public online. This includes posting the contents of emails, private messages, private phone conversations, private letters, and/or any other private information that has not been shared on the forums by the member/non-member personally.

 

11. Medical Advice: No Posts giving medical advice, medication advice, or psychiatric advice. Do not use the forum to give or ask for professional medical or psychiatric advice. If you are a medical professional, please remember the forums and chat are for peer support only and not to be used for distributing professional medical advice and/or using the forum to represent your professional services. Medical and Psychiatric advice includes giving a diagnosis, treatment plan, medication advice and dosage suggestions, over the counter and natural home remedies that should be approved by medical professionals. Detox can be dangerous and life threatening at times. Please consult with your physician.

 

12. Please do NOT post suicide notes, or anything which could sound like you might kill or seriously harm yourself. This can be incredibly damaging to members and guests, and we are not trained in counseling to deal with such things. If you post such a note it will be deleted from the forum. If you DO feel suicidal, please, please contact a real life counselor or support helpline.  Please visit a hospital emergency room for immediate assistance.

 

Please be aware that any posts that contain serious threats of suicide or serious threats to harm another person may be reported to the proper authorities. Reasonably suspected child abuse may also be reported.
